The future of over-the-air wireless power
AirCord™ Wireless Technology
Our proprietary AirCord wireless technology is an infrared (IR) based over-the-air wireless power that beams energy from ranges of 30+ ft (10m) safely, efficiently, and sustainably. AirCord™ is approved by US and European regulatory administrations, doesn't emit any excess power, and one R1 wireless transmitter can power multiple devices simultaneously.
The demo video above demonstrates what the future of power looks like. For our partners, this future is already the present. Each Lego train in the video represents an electronic device that can be powered wirelessly, whether static or in motion.
It can be your smartphone or electric toothbrush at home, a digital display at the edge of a supermarket shelf, a vibration sensor on an industrial production floor, or a smart door lock in a hotel hallway. It can be anywhere you need to power devices at a distance, over the air, safely, and without user intervention.
3 Merits of AirCord Wireless Power
Power • AirCord delivers more usable power over distance than any other approach, enough to safely charge even a smartphone.
Distance • AirCord powers devices at room-sized distances and beyond. Power is the same regardless of distance, unlike other technologies whose power drops as a function of the distance squared.
Safety • AirCord is certified safe for consumers in all usage scenarios. Power is delivered only to the target device and does not bathe the environment with unwanted radiation.
Only Wi-Charge's patented technology meets all these requirements, enabling over the air wireless power to thumb-size receivers that can be embedded in all types of electronic devices. Furthermore, Wi-Charge transmitters support charging of multiple receivers, smartly dividing the total energy among charged devices.
How it works
Wireless Power Transmitter
-
Plugged to the mains (AC or DC)
-
Converts electricity into safe IR beams
-
Automatically identifies client devices
-
Delivers infrared energy to client devices
Wireless Power Receiver
-
Plugged to or embedded in a client device
-
Receiver converts IR to electricity
-
Receiver charges an internal rechargeable battery or a super-capacitor which the client device uses
-
The receiver sends back client device telemetry including battery status, usage stats, billing info etc.

One or more devices are powered simultaneously
-
Power is distributed intelligently between client devices based on their needs

Data is collected from each device
Advanced Topologies
Wi-Commercial and public spaces are likely to use multiple transmitters to power many client devices in large halls. Supermarkets, production floors, shopping centers, and restaurants have tens of smart devices to power.
For these types of deployments, Wi Charge offers a complete wireless power grid network solution.
